We have several things we celebrate on July 10th each year.

Our anniversary, my mom's birthday and our grandson's birthday.

Here are a few highlights:

We went to Gatlinburg for our anniversary.
We relaxed, ate and saw a few things.....

We visited some cute bears....

Where Oh Where Have I Been.....

I know I have been missing in action.  I have been soooo busy with personal things such as I went full-time at work (and let me tell you I work, work, work) and I am taking classes for work to get my FPC Payroll Certification.  I also joined Weight Watchers because I want to feel better (eating healthier sometimes feels like a job) and I am trying to publish a children's picture book I wrote.

So I need to take a breath as you probably do to.  I am sure none of my daily activities is any less busier than yours.  I did buy the following book by Jan Silvious (Christian Writer) to hopefully get insight to put my busy life and the way I have been feeling lately into perspective.

Book is available at Amazon.com

My smiles...........................

Happy 4th and Cheers to our Independence!

Let me know how your doing!

No words....

I can't think right now because my mind is consumed with hubby's pacemaker upgrade surgery Tuesday.  He has had alot of trouble since last June so they are gonna add another lead wire to another part of his heart.  Prayers are welcomed.

So, I am just gonna post these pictures I like so that
you will know I am still around.

We are optimistic that this will work this time.

This speaks for itself.

And of course, I can look at my grandson
and always feel so much better about things.

Be back a little later.

Not a creature was stirring, not even a........

Mouse........The mice have been at my house since Halloween....

I had put these Martha Stewart "Mice" on my stairs for Halloween. Love them! (Found this idea on Leanne's "LittleThingCalledLife.blogspot.com" and asked where she got them. Thanks Leanne).

I didn't want to remove them yet, so I went and got some holiday stickers at Target, and put a few out in the mouse holes and made them part of my Christmas decor.

They are just gonna stay around here awhile.....

Hope you have safe and happy shopping days ahead.

My Homemade Jewerly Display

I have looked for many months in the retail world for an item that would hold my long necklaces. No luck.  So I started surfing the many blogs that I follow and did find some ideas.

City Farmhouse Blog

 Forever Cottage Blog

and my favorite.......
Farmgirl Paints Blog

All the blogs I mentioned above
are inspiring places to check out............

But carrying on.....
Recently I was visiting friends in Tennessee and we went antiquing in their small town.  I ran across a tall ladder that they had painted white and had screwed cup hooks on it and then they displayed many things on the ladder such as handkerchiefs and small pillows attached with just safety pins.

Then the light bulb went off in my head.  I could do my own "smaller" version of this for my closet.  So I took a picture with my camera phone vowing to make one when I got home.  And I did.

We took an old bunk bed ladder and painted it white and added the cup holder hooks.  My hubby attached it to my closet wall and the wonderful result is below.  I am very pleased with it. Thanks for your help Hunny.

How do you like it?
