Warmer Weather....

Thank goodness.....
We got a glimpse of warmer weather this weekend
and people ventured out in the neighborhood.
It was good to see this.
Got me thinking of going back to this.......

and the warm sunshine on my feet.

But the groundhog hasn't come out yet to make his prediction.

Keeping fingers crossed that he doesn't see his shadow
and we will have an early Spring.
Aren't they cute creatures?

It finally happened....

Castle and Beckett finally kissed!

Love the show Castle.
On Monday night's show they finally kissed.  Been a long time coming.
Even though it was a work related kiss, the chemistry was there and they know it.

As a writer myself, I love a well-written kissing scene.

Thanks ABC Network for a great show.

Hunny Doing Hunny Do List!

New year with a list of things to do.  I have these little cubby holes on both sides of my fireplace in the kitchen area.  I have been in this home for almost 3 years and I finally decided what to do with these spaces.

So bought some signs and my hunny had the pleasure
of hanging them per "my" specifications.

Finished product below:

Hunny also built this farmhouse table for us,
so now I will be on the hunt for some mis-matched chairs.
Yea! This spring I get to go antiquing/thrifting.

Thanks hunny.  Good job!

Now let me see what else I need for you to do.
Ha Ha!

Last few days...........

We had the grandson this past weekend.
I walked by where we take our shoes off at the door and I noticed this:

He had put his shoes inside grandpa's sandals.  He is being neat and tidy.

Latest grandpa and grandson moment.

Then the snow storm hit in Georgia.
We got pounded by 8 inches of snow, then sleet the next day.

Cow pasture we have in back yard.  No cows to be seen!

Forethought:  At work they made us take our laptop's home before the weekend because I process payroll.  People need to get paid regardless of rain, sleet or snow.  It's like the Post Office motto.  But ironically, the mail service could not get through the roads this time.

So here I am in my pajamas processing payroll at home.  Comfy, I might add.

Wherever you are in this snowstorm that is hitting the US, please be careful.

Daily Living Recipe

I saw this in an old magazine that I had kept for crafting ideas.
Thought it would be nice to share.

Daily Recipe

4 cups of Love                     5 spoons of Hope
2 cups of Loyalty                2 spoons of Tenderness
3 cups of Forgiveness       4 quarts of Faith
1 cup of Friendship            1 barrel of Laughter

* Take Love and Loyalty and mix them thoroughly with Faith.
* Blend it with Tenderness, Forgiveness and Hope.
* Sprinkle abundantly with Laughter.
* Serve it daily with Friendship in generous helpings.

Looking at a new year....and beyond!

I know most people do it.  Make New Year's resolutions that is!  I have made mine and I think they are very reachable this year.  I have a tendency to make some that I never reach and actually I always make too many.  So this year I'm going for 3.

1)   Finish and submit my romance novel to publishers, and hopefully get published.  (If I accomplish this task during the year, I will receive my "Pro" pin with my writers group).  I have finished my children's manuscript and will submit sometime in the near future.

2)   Lose another 10 lbs. (My doctor was happy I had lost 10 lbs in 2010. My blood pressure had been elevated. So it's better now.)

3)   Try new foods. (I am a chicken finger and hamburger girl. My hubby is a really good cook and I don't seem to try his fixing's.  So cook on hunny!)

This is my list.  What does your list look like?  Inquiring minds want to know!

I hope everyone has a great year.
